What to Expect
A consultation is required for all new filler patients.
Your provider will sit down with you to discuss your concerns, priorities, goals, expectations, and budget. A comprehensive facial assessment will be performed to evaluate volume loss, contour and definition, projection and structural support, and overall facial balance.
Education is a key part of your visit, your provider will explain how filler works, your unique facial anatomy, which areas may benefit, and what results to realistically expect. A personalized treatment plan will be created collaboratively, with ample time for questions.
If appropriate, your dermal filler treatment appointment will be scheduled for a future date (filler is not performed on the same day as the consultation). You will be provided with detailed pre- and post-treatment instructions to help you prepare and optimize your results.
Filler results are often visible immediately, though early swelling or bruising can temporarily affect appearance, with final results continuing to refine over two weeks.
Patients should expect 1 to 3 days of potential downtime. A two-week follow-up (in-office or via text) is completed to assess results and make plans for any needed refinements.
Filler maintenance is typically recommended every 18 to 24 months, depending on product and treatment area.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does filler last?
Hyaluronic acid filler results typically last up to 24 months depending on the product, the area treated, your individual metabolism, and how active the area is (lips break down filler faster than cheeks, for example). We'll give you a realistic timeline for your specific treatment and maintenance plan.
Will it hurt?
Most fillers contain lidocaine, and we use additional numbing for sensitive areas like lips. Discomfort during treatment is generally minimal.
Will I have bruising or swelling?
Some swelling is normal for the first 24 to 72 hours, especially in the lips. Bruising can occur but is often minimized with cannula technique. If bruising does occur it can last up to two weeks. Most patients are presentable within a day or two, with full settling around two weeks.
What's the difference between filler and Sculptra?
HA filler delivers immediate volume that lasts months. Sculptra is a biostimulator. It triggers your body to build its own collagen over several months, with results that develop gradually and last longer. They serve different goals and are often used together.
Can filler be reversed?
Yes, although it’s not risk-free and not always easy. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you're unhappy with the result or in the rare case of a complication.
Do you require a consultation before my first treatment?
Yes. Every new filler patient starts with a consultation so we can review your anatomy, talk through your goals, and build a plan that's right for you. The consultation can sometimes be combined with treatment, depending on what we find.
How much does it cost?
Filler starts at $800 per syringe. We do not sell ½ syringes. Most treatment plans use one to three syringes depending on the areas being addressed. We'll give you a clear estimate during your consultation before any treatment.
