Microneedling with PRP, Wash Park, Denver
Microneedling with PRP is one of our most effective skincare treatments for improving overall skin quality from the inside out.
By stimulating collagen and delivering growth factors deep into the skin, texture and tone visibly improve. Skin appears brighter, smoother, and more even with minimal downtime.
Microneedling with PRP is a skin rejuvenation treatment that combines controlled microneedling with platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood. The microneedling creates precise micro-channels in the skin, while PRP delivers concentrated growth factors that support healing, collagen production, and overall skin quality.
At Theresa Carrie Aesthetics in Denver’s Wash Park, microneedling with PRP is used to improve skin texture, tone, acne scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores, and overall dullness. Treatment is performed in-office by medical providers who understand both skin health and regenerative aesthetics.

What to Expect
You will receive detailed pre- and post-treatment instructions via text prior to your appointment to help you prepare and optimize your results. Your provider will sit down with you to discuss your concerns, goals, expectations, and treatment areas. A focused skin assessment will be performed to evaluate texture, tone, scarring, fine lines, and overall skin quality
Education is a key part of the visit, your provider will explain how microneedling with PRP works, what it can help improve, and what results to realistically expect. A personalized treatment plan will be created collaboratively, with time for questions.
For your comfort, the treatment area will be numbed prior to the procedure. A small blood sample will be drawn and processed to extract platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP is applied in combination with microneedling to support skin regeneration and collagen production.
Redness, sensitivity, and mild swelling are common after treatment, with approximately 24 hours of downtime. An initial series of three treatments is typically recommended, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Results develop gradually over time. For optimal skin health and continued improvement, maintenance treatments are often recommended every 3 to 4 months.

How We Approach Microneedling with PRP
Microneedling is about creating a controlled healing response.
The depth, pressure, and treatment pattern matter. So does what is applied afterward. When PRP is used with microneedling, your own plasma is applied to support the skin’s repair process and encourage collagen remodeling over time.
Most patients need a series of treatments for best results, especially when treating acne scarring, texture changes, or deeper collagen loss. Some patients use microneedling with PRP as a periodic skin maintenance treatment, while others use it as part of a more structured plan for scarring, tone, or aging skin.
The goal is stronger, healthier-looking skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling with PRP combines controlled microneedling with platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. The microneedling stimulates a healing response in the skin, and the PRP provides concentrated growth factors that support repair and collagen production.
How is PRP different from PRF?
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, while PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin. Both are made from your own blood, but they are processed differently and used in different ways. PRP is commonly used with microneedling, while PRF is often used as an injectable regenerative treatment.
What does microneedling with PRP help with?
It can help improve skin texture, tone, fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality. Results build gradually as collagen production and skin remodeling occur over time.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients benefit from a series of treatments. For general skin maintenance, fewer treatments may be needed. For acne scarring, texture changes, or more visible collagen loss, a series is usually recommended.
Is there downtime?
Yes, but it is usually short. Most patients have redness and sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours, similar to a sunburn. Some dryness, flaking, or tightness can occur as the skin heals.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice a glow once the initial redness resolves, but deeper results take time. Collagen remodeling typically builds over several weeks, with continued improvement after a series of treatments.
Is microneedling with PRP safe for all skin types?
It can be appropriate for many skin types, but a consultation is still important. Your provider will review your skin, medical history, and goals to determine whether microneedling with PRP is right for you.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes. Microneedling with PRP appointments are available by appointment only. Booking a consultation is available online, or you can text the practice at 720-281-9551 with questions.
