GLP-1 Medications Wash Park, Denver
Our medical GLP-1 weight loss program goes far beyond the scale.
Using advanced GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP medications, we support appetite regulation, reduce food noise, and promote sustainable, healthy weight loss.
Every plan is personalized and supported with education, guidance, and ongoing care for long-term success.
GLP-1 medications are prescription medications used to support weight loss by helping regulate appetite, fullness, and food-related cravings. At Theresa Carrie Aesthetics in Denver’s Wash Park, GLP-1 treatment is medically supervised and designed for adults who want a structured, in-person approach rather than a one-size-fits-all online program.
Your care starts with a consultation, medical history review, and discussion of your goals. If GLP-1 medication is appropriate, your plan may include semaglutide or tirzepatide, along with ongoing follow-up to monitor progress, side effects, dosing, and long-term sustainability.

What to Expect
All GLP-1 treatments begin with a medical intake appointment.
During this visit, your provider will discuss your concerns, goals, priorities, and what you’re hoping to achieve with treatment. A comprehensive medical intake will be completed to assess medical history, ensure safety, and screen for any contraindications to treatment.
If no contraindications are identified and it is safe to proceed, your provider will review the medication in detail, including how it works, dosing and titration, potential side effects, and what to expect throughout treatment.
You will be educated on how to self-inject the medication and important safety information. High-level guidance on nutrition, movement, and habit support is provided to help optimize results and preserve overall health.
Once prescribed, your medication is shipped directly to your home. GLP-1 medications are taken once weekly, and all patients start on a low dose that is gradually adjusted as tolerated. As you reach an effective dose and appetite and cravings are reduced, many patients can expect an average weight loss of approximately 0.5 to 2 pounds per week, depending on individual factors.
Ongoing follow-up is completed monthly via a secure form sent by text, with continued communication to assess progress, side effects, and determine whether dose adjustments are needed.
How We Approach GLP-1 Treatment
GLP-1 medications are not a shortcut. They are a medical tool.
The goal is not simply to lose weight quickly. The goal is to help you lose weight safely, understand how your body responds, and build a plan that can be maintained over time. That means dosing is adjusted thoughtfully, side effects are monitored, and follow-up matters.
At Theresa Carrie Aesthetics, GLP-1 treatment is handled in person, by Theresa Carrie, a board-certified nurse practitioner who can evaluate whether the medication is appropriate for you, explain what to expect, and adjust the plan as your body changes. Some patients respond quickly. Others need slower titration or more support. The plan should fit the patient, not the other way around.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 medications are prescription medications that mimic a naturally occurring hormone involved in appetite regulation, digestion, and blood sugar control. For weight loss, they can help reduce appetite, increase fullness, and make it easier to eat less without constant food noise.
What medications do you use?
Treatment may include semaglutide or tirzepatide depending on what is appropriate for you. Your provider will review your medical history, goals, and treatment options during your consultation.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. A consultation is required before starting GLP-1 treatment. This allows us to review your health history, medications, goals, and whether this treatment is appropriate for you.
How fast will I lose weight?
Results vary. Some patients begin noticing changes within the first few weeks, while others respond more gradually. The goal is safe, sustainable progress, not extreme or rushed weight loss.
Are there side effects?
Possible side effects include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reflux, decreased appetite, or fatigue, especially during dose changes. Your provider will review what to expect and how to manage side effects if they occur.
Is this the same as an online weight loss program?
No. This is an in-person, medically supervised program in Denver’s Wash Park. You are evaluated and monitored by medical providers, with follow-up based on how your body responds.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes. GLP-1 appointments are available by appointment only. Booking is available online, or you can text the practice at 720-281-9551 with questions.
